<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jaw treatment device effective in treating the dyskinesia of jaws, capable of relieving pains of a patient in the treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The jaw treatment device 10 comprises an upper jaw mouthpiece 28 and a lower jaw mouthpiece 36 disposed upward/downward facing each other, a lower jaw clasping device 37 to clasp the lower jaw of the patient from the extraoral side, and a moving means 21 for relatively moving the mouthpieces 28 and 36. The mouthpieces 28 and 36 are cantilevered to be inserted into the oral cavity of the patient from the distal end side. The lower jaw clasping device 37 is structured to clasp the lower jaw with the lower jaw mouthpiece 28 and the submaxilla B in a fixed positional relation when the mouthpieces 28 and 36 are relatively moving. The moving means 21 rotates a forked part 30 on the distal end side downward around the base 31 side of the lower jaw mouthpiece 36, and the distal ends of the mouthpieces 28 and 36 inside the oral cavity are separated from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
