METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ADDRESSING AND ROUTING IN ENCRYPTED COMMUNICATIONS LINKS

The method involves separating network layers (2, 3) from each other by different routing layers, and the network layer (2) with an associated routing layer is demarcated relative to the network layer (3) with another routing layer by an encryption device. A network topology of both network layers is worked out independent of one another and stored in corresponding routing tables (17). An interface in the encryption device is provided with a unique assignment of addresses of the latter routing layer to addresses of the former routing layer. An independent claim is also included for a system for addressing and routing encrypted communications links.
