The tool of the invention has a triangular head, enabling it to be pushed o r pulled along a course of pavers, or other blocks or the like used, for example, in patio building, so as to scrape or plow away an area of a sand bed and there by expose a smooth, level gravel base to accommodate edging. The head is vertically adjustable, and includes, on one of its three panels, a depth scale; the handle is adjustable both in angular attitude and also in length.
