The method involves manufacturing a flat body (8) in a sheet forming method, where the flat body has middle bars in flank areas laid in the same direction. The areas are connected with each other by grid reinforcements made of plastic. The flat body is manufactured from a steel material with a tensile strength of 800 mega pascal and less ductility. The grid reinforcements are connected with the flat body. An independent claim is also included for a handle bar component for wheel suspension of a motor vehicle.
