The socket comprises two plastic sleeves 1 and 2. A first sleeve 1 is positioned in a hole in the ground and surrounded by concrete 4. The second sleeve 2 is proportioned to fit within the first sleeve in a removable fashion. The post is preferably made from heavy duty injection moulded plastic. In use, if a post 3 contained within the post holder rots, the second sleeve is easily removed and a new post fit therein without excavation of the concrete. The socket is designed for use with posts for fences and pergolas etc. |
