Provided herein is a safety device (1) for an intake valve (2), which can be applied on apparatuses (3) for the compression of fluids comprising a compressor (5) in fluid communication with the intake valve (2), and comprises a retention valve (24) designed to prevent any passage of fluid from the compressor (5) to the intake valve (2) and to enable passage of fluid from the intake valve (2) to the compressor (5).
