摘要 FIELD: railway transport industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to railway transport industry and deals with structural elements of rail vehicle running gear wheel. Wheel centre of rail vehicle wheel includes hub with hole and tread radially connected with equally spaced arms of variable out-of-round section rising to the hub. Each two adjacent arms are smoothly connected between themselves and with tread area between them by common rib 0.1Ç0.2 thick of tread width symmetrically arranged in relation to tread ends. Note that rib minimum height that is in the middle area between arms is not less than twice larger than its thickness. Rib maximum height that is at the area of its connection with the arm does not exceed half of arm length for strength increasing and at the same time for metal removing from rib middle part during static wheel balancing. Additionally, the hub from the side of the end facing wheel set inner part is performed with 10-20% increased diametre and equipped with groove the depth of which is up to 1/10 of hub width. The groove is at the end area close to the hole. ^ EFFECT: improvement of wheel centre strength and provision of possibility for its static balancing performance at the expense of metal removing from certain places of wheel centre. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg
