摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# The apparatus has a clamping body member (2) including a clamping chamber (8) with polygonal cross section, where the body member is adapted to receive a polygonal shaft (28) of a work piece. A reference surface (16a-18a) is provided on the body member for defining a position of the shaft which is clampingly retained in the clamping chamber in two directions. The reference surface has cylindrical stop pin members (16-18) provided in the clamping body member, where the stop pin members are made of a material that is harder than a clamping body member. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for clampingly retaining a work piece (claimed) such as electrode for electro erosive machining, and in an operating region of a machine tool. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The clamping body member is made of a material that is inexpensive, relatively light, and the stop pin members are made of a material that is harder than the material of the clamping body member, so that the clamping apparatus can be manufactured quickly, easily and at low costs. The work piece having flat lateral surfaces rests on the stop pin members along a line, thus providing high degree of immunity against contamination.
