<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially, inexpensively and readily producing a salt having low water content. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the salt having ≤500 ppm water content comprises continuously or intermittently adding (B) a polar solvent having ≥5 relative permittivity at 25°C to (A) a salt composed of an anion component and a cation component while keeping the concentration of the component B to 0.01-50 wt.% based on total weight of the components (A) and (B) and evaporating and removing the component (B) at the same time.
