<p>The apparatus has a hearing aid housing (1) formed from electrochrome polymer, where the housing includes a display formed from an organic LED. An area of the housing made of the electrochrome polymer represents a symbol (8), which is assigned to an operating state of the apparatus. An interface transfers data characterizing the symbol from an external computing facility e.g. computer. The organic LED is arranged on a side of the housing facing away from a sound exit opening.
