Ladder with safety device

The ladder (1) has a safety device (8) determining a spatial position of center of gravity (9) of the ladder including an object or a person on the ladder, relative to a support surface (6). The device determines a position of a projection (10) of center of gravity of the ladder including the object or the person on the ladder, on a plane of the surface, where the spatial and projection positions are measured in a preset time interval. Safety volume is defined in such a manner that a secure condition of the ladder is ensured as long as the center of gravity is present within the volume.
