<p>The present invention is related to an intravaginal delivery system for the controlled release of one or more therapeutically active substances or a prodrug thereof over a prolonged period of time. The delivery system comprises at least one compartment (2,4,5,6), said one or each compartment comprising a core (7) and a membrane (3) encasing the core, wherein the core and the membrane essentially consists of a same or different polymer composition and at least one of the compartments comprises drospirenone or a mixture of drospirenone and an estrogen.</p> |
