A trailer braking device (100); the device (100) having:
- a high-pressure main hydraulic circuit (102) of a tractor to which a trailer is attached;
- a hydraulic circuit (106) of a master brake cylinder of the tractor; and
- a trailer brake valve (105) having a driver (108) connected hydraulically to the high-pressure main hydraulic circuit (102) and to the hydraulic circuit (106). The device (100) is characterized in that the driver (108) has a piston (113) which is subjected to a first action by an independent circuit (103; 200) activated, for example, by the stop lights, and a second action produced by the operator's foot acting, by means of a brake pedal, on the hydraulic circuit (106) of the master brake cylinder.
