FIELD: electrical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed inductive heating device for heating a moveable metallic plate comprises an induction coil encircling the metal plate. The induction coil comprises a top part, meant for placing above the metal plate, and a bottom part, meant for placing below the metal plate. The top and bottom parts of the induction coil are separated from each other longitudinally by the metal plate in at least one position in the transverse direction of the metal plate. The distance in the longitudinal direction of the metal plate between the top and bottom part of the induction coil varies in the transverse direction of the metal plate.
