The aid has an operating device with an operating element (111) for activating a set of operating functions, where the operating element comprises a pressure or touch switch (112). The operating device is configured to execute a respective operating function by activating a corresponding operating function via the operating element. The operating device is configured to suppress an execution of the one of operating function upon activation of that operating function via the operating element when other operating function is activated via the operating element. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a hearing aid.
