MINE DOOR POWER DRIVE SYSTEM

A mine door system (10) including at least two doors (20 and 22) positioned in a mine passageway (14) in spaced relation forming an airlock (24). The doors ( 20 and 22) include at least one leaf (60A-D) movable between open and closed positions to allow passage into and out of the airlock (24). A control system (89) controls operation of leaf movement actuators (70-73) such that in normal operation, at least one door (20 and 22) is always closed to control flow of air in the mine. A power source (91) is included to effect movement of the leafs by the actuators (70-73).
