A process for preparation of sodium iodide comprises chemical interaction of iodine with sodium hydroxide in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, further treatment of sodium iodide from soluble impurities by its double recrystallization from aqueous solutions at cooling, dehydration ofNaIHO crystals, final drying of dehydrated sodium iodide, and use of reactive qualification reagents for sodium iodide synthesis and recuperation of mother solutions. On the stage of the first recrystallization NaIHO crystals are additionally washed with cooled distilled water after the separation from the mother solution. Rinse waters containing the half of mother solutions of the first recrystallization are returned to the synthesis stage for the preparation of iodine suspension. |
