TECHNIQUE FOR SUPRAHYOID AND SUPRAOMOHYOID CERVICAL DISSECTION

A technique for suprahyoid and supraomohyoid cervical dissection comprises the removal of the fat in the submandibular triangle with the lymph nodes. The fat in the submandibular triangle is cut in the direction from the jaw to the hyoid. The edges of the wound are electrocoagulated. The proper sheath of the belly of the digastric muscle is dissected on the medial side.
