摘要 |
The invention relates to a method for monitoring the production process of hot-finished pipes, in which a hollow block pipe is produced from a heated block: by means of a cross-rolling mill using an inner tool that is composed of a piercing plug and a mandrel rod. According to the inventive method, the thermal radiation emitted by at least one defined section of the outer surface of the hollow block pipe is fully detected in a thermographic, point-resolved, and time-resolved manner immediately after the hollow block pipe is discharged from the cross-rolling mill, and the detected thermal image is compared to the reference image of a previously produced hollow block pipe which is provided with the same steel grade and the same nominal dimension of the identical measuring point. |
