Provided is an optical lens, which can be surely formed even when the lens surface is aspherical, and eliminates interference with other components. The optical lens is provided with a convex lens surface (1) at least on one surface, and a flat surface section (2) is formed at the periphery of the lens surface (1). The lens surface (1) is composed of a lens section (5) which optically functions as a lens, and an optically ineffective section (6) which is formed at the periphery of the lens section (5) and does not optically function as a lens. The optical ineffective section (6) is formed so that it is recessed from a surface which is formed by extending the lens section (5) to the outer circumference, and that the concave section forming the lens surface (1) is formed by a die formed by cutting.
