A retroreflective material of bead type having an angle-dependence such that retroreflected light appears or disappears depending on the angle of view. The retroreflective material comprising a reflective layer and transparent microspheres is characterized in that the reflective material of the reflective layer is cholesteric liquid crystal. Retroreflected light retroreflected by the cholesteric liquid crystal is observed at an incident angle of 0° to 30° to the retroreflective material and not observed at an incident angle of 45° or more.
