Disclosed is a compound represented by the formula (I) below or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which has a glucokinase activating effect and is thus useful for treatment of diabetes, obesity and the like. (In the formula (I), ring A represents a pyrazolyl group which may have a lower alkyl group or the like; ring B represents a heteroaryl group; R represents a lower alkyl group or the like; R1 represents a group represented by the formula (II-1) below or the like; R2 represents a lower alkyl group or the like; r represents an integer of 0-3; and k represents an integer of 0-4.)
