The instrument has a part forming a rectangular shaped support engaged by a jaw clutching in support on two fore foots that are smaller than rear foots. Legs (3, 4, 6) are combined to form two M shaped legs that are clutched to a base of the support, and are surmounted with two lugs (12) on one side of each M shaped leg, where ends of the legs are connected by a popliteal axle (17) provided for receiving a popliteal hollow for knee of an animal e.g. cat.
