According to the invention, a metal composite can be produced by combining a first intermediate of nanoscale particles with a mean size d1 2 = 1 µm. Ultrasound energy is introduced for mixing the first intermediate and the powder to give a second intermediate of mixed first intermediate and the powder. Said second intermediate is accelerated to mechanically alloy the first intermediate with the powder to give a third intermediate. Said third intermediate is compacted to form a metal composite with nanoscale particles embedded in a metal matrix. |
