<p>An apparatus for supporting a reflector and a method of assembling the same: A support structure for supporting a reflector comprises at least one section comprising a first contouring profile having a pre-determined geometry and a plurality of support members (101 ) for supporting at least one reflective element making up the reflector. Each of the support members comprises hinge means (107) for coupling with an adjacent support member (101 ) to form a common hinging axis, and mounting means for mounting onto the first contouring profile. Upon mounting the support members (101 ) onto the first contouring profile, adjacent support members (101 ) are maintained at an angle with respect to their common hinging axis determined by the pre-determined geometry of the first contouring profile, so as to define the contour of the support structure according to the geometry of the reflector. There is also disclosed a method of assembly the support structure of a reflector, and a support member (101 ) for supporting at least one reflective element.</p> |
