A method and apparatus for transmitting data information are disclosed. The method comprises: when signal transmitting end transmits data frame carrying data information, the data frame includes in turn: at least one downlink time slot, guard period and at least one uplink time slot; the signal transmitting end transmits synchronization information in the beginning of the downlink time slot, in the end of the downlink time slot nonadjacent to the uplink time slot, or between two adjacent downlink time slots.
