摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure each correction period, in particular, a mobility correction period, even if a pixel size is scaled down with achievement of a high-resolution display device. <P>SOLUTION: By taking two pixels (20i) and (20i+1) in the same pixel row of a pixel array section 30 as one unit for example, a pixel circuit 200 for one pixel other than organic EL elements (21i) and (21i+1) is arranged in common for the two pixels (20i) and (20i+1) as one unit, and also, the two pixels (20i) and (20i+1) are selectively made in a forward bias state, then, the organic EL elements (21i) and (21i+1) are selectively and time-divisionally driven by the pixel circuit 200. Thus, respective capacitance values (Cs) and (Csub) of a holding capacitance 24 and an auxiliary capacitance 26 are set to be two times as large as that in the manner where the pixel circuit 200 is arranged for each pixel, and the optimum correction period (t) for mobility correction which depends on the capacitance values (Cs) and (Csub) is sufficiently secured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
