<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve speedup of inventory control of information equipment, and to thoroughly manage equipment whose installation place is limited, and to feedback information of inventory to an information equipment database. <P>SOLUTION: When a person in charge makes a patrol while carrying a portable information reader in performing inventory checking of the information equipment, a portable information reader reads and temporarily stores non-contact IC tag information and radio base station location information accompanied with the information equipment. The equipment manager and inventory manager of a relevant department are notified by automatic mail of the progress ratio of inventory checking in timing when the inventory checking person sends data in the portable information reader via a base station and a network to an inventory result DB. When the number of residual inventory becomes less than a threshold, the equipment manager and the inventory manager are informed by automatic mail of the information of non-inventory equipment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
