PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a free capacity while enabling a still image in timing close to a recorded still image to be extracted in a post-manner. SOLUTION: A still image recorded on a recording medium (24) and date/time of still image creation that is a date/time when the still image is created, are retrieved. In accordance with results of the retrieval, a recording and reproducing processing device (20) erases moving images from the recording medium (24) in accordance with an instruction from a CPU (34), excepting for a moving image photographed simultaneously with the relevant still image, or a moving image most temporally closest to the relevant still image.
