PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, low-cost and foldable portable electronic apparatus in which the stresses applied to a connecting portion, when the portable electronic apparatus is spread, can be dispersed efficiently. SOLUTION: The portable electronic apparatus having a first case, a second case and a hinge portion is provided. The hinge portion has a rotation axis member and an opening/closing axis member, and is covered with a predetermined cover member. At an end of the second case, a first bearing portion and a second bearing portion which turnably journal the opening/closing shaft member on both ends about a first rotation axis are formed in a projected manner, and a fitting portion where the hinge portion covered with the cover member is disposed is provided between the first bearing portion and second bearing portion. The fitting portion has a first abutting portion projecting from a surface of the second case, a second abutting portion abutting on the first abutting portion in an opening state is formed on the surface of the cover member, and at least one of the rotation axis member and opening/closing axis member abuts on the rear surface of the second abutting portion of the cover member.
