PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mobile electronic equipment which has two housings and which is portable, with one housing exposed out of a storage portion such as a pocket. SOLUTION: The mobile telephone equipment 1 includes an operation portion-side housing 2 and a display portion-side housing 3. On a first internal surface 121 of the operation portion-side housing 2, one or more first projection portions 41 and one or more first recess portions 43 are alternately formed in a direction Y1 which intersects with the opening/closing axis at a joint 4, and on a second internal surface 131 of the display portion-side housing 3, one or more second recess portions 42 are formed corresponding to the one or more first projection portions 41 in a closed state and one or more second convex portions 44 are formed corresponding to the one or more first recess portions 43 in a closed state.
