PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording and playback device with stable accuracy of a tracking servo. SOLUTION: A DSP 32 of a DVD recorder 100 includes: a gain setting part 322 which obtains appropriate values of first gainαand second gainβduring playback of an optical disk, and records the obtained first gainαand second gainβin a gain storing part 323, while setting them to a main differential amplifier 172 and a sub-differential amplifier 173; and a correction executing part 325 which reads and corrects at least one of the first gainαand second gainβstored in the gain storing part 323 during recording of the optical disk, and sets it to at least one of the main differential amplifier 172 and the sub-differential amplifier 173.
