<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk array device for enabling even a port multiplier non-correspondence host side to individually recognize a plurality of eSATA-connected hard disks. <P>SOLUTION: This disk array device includes: a plurality of storage areas in which data can be read and written by communication based on a prescribed first protocol; a first interface for converting a signal based on SATA(Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) and a signal based on a first protocol between an information processor capable of performing communication based on the SATA and the storage area; a first selective input acceptance means for accepting a selective input for selecting one of the plurality of storage areas from a user; and a first storage area selection means for limiting the communication target of the information processor through the first interface to the selectively input storage area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
