<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrational circular dichroism spectrophotometer for performing easy and rapid spectroscopic analysis, and an attachment and sample holding mechanism used for it. <P>SOLUTION: This vibrational circular dichroism spectrophotometer includes a light source for emitting light, a reflector for reflecting the light emitted from the light source in the direction substantially perpendicular to an installation surface, a modulator for modulating light reflected by the reflector to circularly polarized light, and a detector.
