PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed XML database technology allowing distributed query processing such that distributed permeability can be maintained. SOLUTION: A code generation part 601 analyzes a query received by a query reception part 600, and generates a query code, a tuple code, and a procedure code in reference to each processing capability information of DB servers 70A-70B. A code execution part 603 transmits the query code generated by the code generation part 601 to the DB servers 70A-70B, receives execution results of processing expressed by the query code from the DB servers 70A-70B, and executes processing expressed by the procedure code and processing expressed by the tuple code generated by the code generation part 601 by use of them to generate result data.
