PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the temperature rise of a bus bar lower than conventionally, by raising the radiation efficiency of heat generated in a bus bar. SOLUTION: In a plug-in bus duct in which a plurality of bare bus bars 2A-2C are arranged in parallel via insulating supports 3 within a metallic duct 1 that has a plug-in hole 4, and to the duct 1 a hole cover 5 to stop the plug-in hole 4 is attached, a plurality of recesses 9 are formed, in the longitudinal direction of the duct, at the end face, on the side of the plug-in hole 4, of the insulating support 3 which supports the bus bars 2A-2C on both sides of the plug-in hole 4, and the edges E of the duct 1 on both sides of the plug-in hole 4 are positioned midway in the longitudinal direction of this recess 9, and space S is provided between a section which lies upon the duct 1 on the recesses 9 on both sides of the hole cover 5, and the duct 1 on the recess 9, thus an air path which leads to the outside of the duct 1 from inside the duct 1, is formed by the recess 9 and the space S.
