PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass ribbon conveying method which realizes reduction in adhesion of foreign matter such as dross and in defects such cracks, reduction in the generation of strains and warpages after being made into substrates, and reduction in a risk of break during conveying in conveying a float-process glass ribbon for forming glass substrates for plasma display and glass substrates for liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: The glass ribbon conveying method is one comprising annealing a belt-like glass ribbon made of a glass of a softening temperature of 750-850°C and having a thickness of 0.5-3.0 mm while longitudinally conveying it by mounting on glass conveying rollers, wherein the glass conveying rollers situated in the region from the upstream side of flow of the grass ribbon to the place where the temperature of the grass ribbon is 450-600°C are cylindrical ceramic rollers and the rollers situated in the region where the grass ribbon temperature is 150-500°C cylindrical iron rollers.
