PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frontal structure of a vehicle body capable of protecting a radiator from being damaged due to an impact load. SOLUTION: In front of the radiator, a longitudinal member 18 is disposed which is connected to the upper section member 24 and the lower section member 28 of a radiator support. Further, a curved member 20, to which a compressive load is applied, is attached in front of the longitudinal member 18 and is connected to a bumper reinforcement 22. Thereby, the curved member 20 can apply a tensile load to the longitudinal member 18 when inputting the impact load into the bumper reinforcement 22. As a result, the bending stress applied to the longitudinal member 18 can be weakened, thereby restraining a bending deformation of the longitudinal member 18. Therefore, The load applied to the radiator can be decreased, and the risk of deformation of the radiator can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
