PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle instrument capable of removing troublesomeness, even when resetting a stepping motor depending on a plurality of starting states. SOLUTION: The vehicle instrument wherein a control means 2 resets the stepping motor 1 depending on operation of a starting switch 6, includes a pointer 3, the stepping motor 1 for driving the pointer 3, and the control means 2 for driving the stepping motor 1. The control means 2 inputs a driving signal when operating the starting switch 6 from the OFF-position to the HEAT-position, and when operating it from the OFF-position to the ON-position, executes resetting depending on input of the starting signal, and prohibits execution of resetting, when the next starting signal is input before elapse of a prescribed time from resetting.
