PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens component which reduces connection loss between a light emitting element and a single mode fiber. SOLUTION: A fiber stub X is provided with a ferrule 2 and an optical fiber which is fixed in the through-hole of the ferrule 2. The optical fiber has a first grated index fiber 1a and a second grated index fiber 1b of which the end parts are connected to each other, the other end of the first grated index fiber 1a is optically connected to the light emitting element and the other end of the second grated index fiber 1b is optically connected to the single mode fiber. The specific refractive index difference between the central part and the outer peripheral part of the core of the first grated index fiber 1a is larger than that of the second grated index fiber 1b.
