<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber sensor having low emission light angle and small light loss due to bending. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber sensor includes: 7-10,000 core fibers comprising a transparent core resin having a high refractive index; one or more multi-core plastic optical fibers of 50 cm-5 m of length manufactured by a composite fiber forming method so that a first sheath layer comprising a first transparent sheath resin having a lower refractive index than that of the core resin by surrounding the periphery of each core fiber and a second sheath layer comprising a second sheath resin composition dispersing a colored substance in a second sheath resin having a lower refractive index than the first sheath resin by surrounding the outside of each first sheath layer are one bundle of fibers; a light emitting element; and a light receiving element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
