PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a game machine capable of expressing the variable display of virtual symbol reels as if actual symbol reels are rotated. SOLUTION: At an ending timing of a variable display, at first, a main control board transmits a symbol stop command 33 on symbols to be stationarily displayed on an upper display area, to a display control board. When the display control board receives the symbol stop command 33, the upper three symbols 3 are determined. When the symbol stop command 33 on the symbols to be stationarily displayed on a lower display area is transmitted, the lower three symbols are determined. When the symbol stop command on the symbols to be stationarily displayed on a middle display area is transmitted, the middle three symbols are determined. The respective symbols on the upper, lower and middle display areas are thus stationarily displayed at a time in this order in accordance with the scroll direction of the symbols.
