PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating force transmitting mechanism which can improve quality reliability, reduce assembly man power, and improve fixing strength. SOLUTION: The rotating force transmitting mechanism is characterized in that a loop-like cable 13, which is hung to groove sections of drive side pulley 11 and driven side pulley 12, and transmits a rotary force of the drive side pulley 11 to the driven side pulley 12, is separated into two cables 13a, 13b in circumferential direction, in that in disc surfaces of the drive side pulley 11 and the driven side pulley 12, female screw holes 18 screwed by screws 16, 17 are formed, in that the two cables 13a, 13b are fixed to the drive side pulley 11 in such a way that one end side members of the two cables 13a, 13b are sandwiched between a periphery edge section of the female screw hole 18 and a head section 16a of the screw 16 in the drive side pulley 11, and in that the two cables 13a, 13b are fixed to the driven side pulley 12 in such a way that the other end side members of the two cables 13a, 13b are sandwiched between a periphery edge section of the female screw 18 and a head section 17a of the screw 17 in the driven side pulley 12.
