PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of reducing the waste of a material cost due to a sealing member for securing airtightness of a dust collecting chamber. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 1 includes a cleaner body 2 incorporating the dust collecting bag 31, a dust collecting bag holder 21 and a motor-driven blower 10, and a lid body 11. The holder 21 is formed by attaching a frame-like soft sealing member 27 to the peripheral part of a holder base 22 to which the dust collecting bag 31 constituted by mounting an air-permeable bag body on the back surface of a support plate is detachably attached. The body 2 has a dust collecting chamber 5 housing the bag body on the upstream side of the motor-driven blower 10 and also has a frame-like receiving part 6 for receiving the peripheral part of the base 22, and the receiving part 6 surrounds the opening of the dust collecting chamber 5. The lid body 11 is attached to the cleaner body 2 so as to open and close the dust collecting chamber 5, and has a suction port 15 for introducing dust-containing air and a frame-like pressurizing part corresponding to the receiving part 6. In the state that the lid body 11 closes the opening, the suction port 15 communicates with the inside of the bag body, and the pressurizing part clamps the sealing member 27 with the receiving part 6.
