<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer without hindering the operation of roll paper replacement, maintenance and inspection or the like by improving the operability of a top unit and stabilizing the top unit when opened. <P>SOLUTION: The printer using roll paper comprises a locking mechanism for locking the top unit in a closed state to the body unit side. The locking mechanism is constituted to release the lock by the opening operation of the top unit by an operating lever. The top unit is supported to the body unit through a derricking buffer support mechanism for suppressing the top unit in an opening/closing operation halfway position and in a roll paper loadable position and absorbing a play during opening/closing operation and an impact when closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
