<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent and oil-repellent agent containing a copolymer of perfluoroalkylalkyl (meth)acrylate having low bioaccumulation potential, as an effective ingredient, wherein the copolymer is not copolymerized with a specific monomer, having a low curing temperature in water-repelling and oil-repelling treatment using the copolymer as the active ingredient and providing a fabric having good touch feeling when the fabric is treated with the agent. <P>SOLUTION: The water-repellent and oil-repellent agent comprises, as an effective ingredient, a fluorine-containing copolymer containing, as copolymerization units, (A) at least one of perfluoroalkylalkyl acrylates represented by the general formula: C<SB>n</SB>F<SB>2n+1</SB>C<SB>m</SB>H<SB>2m</SB>OCOCR=CH<SB>2</SB>(wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; n represents 4, 5 or 6, and m represents 1, 2, 3 or 4) or corresponding methacrylates, (B) a benzyl acrylate or a benzyl methacrylate, (C) a fluorine-free polymerizable monomer other than benzyl acrylates and benzyl methacrylates and (D) a crosslinkable group-containing polymerizable monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
