PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device by which a color filter or the like satisfying requirement on specifications of chromaticity is formed at a low cost, uniformly and without generating irregularity in a large coating region. SOLUTION: The coating device includes a coating head which has several discharge nozzles for supplying a coating material to an object to be applied, a stage which holds the object to be applied and a control means which instructs to discharge while holding at least one unused discharge nozzle among several discharge nozzles for application onto the object to be applied.
