PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily manufacturing a protective plate-integrated display module, in which a display panel and an observation screen protective plate are joined with a resin. SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: sticking a spacer 21, as surrounding an area corresponding to a screen area, to the surface of an observation screen protective plate 18, the surface opposing to a display panel; supplying a filler comprising a resin having both of characteristics of UV polymerizability and thermal polymerizability to an area on the surface of the display panel 1 opposing to the protective plate, the area corresponding to the screen area; superposing the display panel 1 and the protective plate 18 and pressurizing to bring the spacer 21 into contact with the surface of the display panel 1 opposing to the protective plate as well as to press-spread and retaining the filler in the space which is formed between the display panel 1 and the protective plate 18 and surrounded by the spacer 21; and irradiating a predetermined part of the area surrounded by the spacer 21 with UV rays to partially UV polymerize the filler layer. Then the whole area surrounded by the spacer 21 is irradiated with UV rays to UV polymerize the whole filler layer to form a packed layer 24; and the packed layer is further subjected to thermal polymerization.
