PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling-support apparatus which can perform traveling support which reflects actual driver's operational characteristics more accurately. SOLUTION: A status acquisition section 102 acquires a traveling status: a driver authentication machine 34 identifies a driver; a driving recorder 106 associates a past traveling status acquired by the status acquisition section 102 with driver's past driving characteristics identified by the driver authentication machine 34 and records them; and a travel plan setting part 104 computes the timing of passing of own-vehicle based on a present traveling status acquired by the status acquisition section 102 and the past traveling status and the driver's operational characteristics associated and recorded in the driving recorder 106 and supports traveling to a specific driver of own-vehicle. Traveling support can be rendered at the timing of passage reflecting actual driver's driving characteristics more accurately according to individual traveling status. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
