PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of preventing a steering force to be applied to a steering wheel by a driver from changing according to the rotation direction of the steering wheel and preventing occurrence of uncomfortable abnormal sound like rattling sound of gears or vibration by raising the flexural rigidity of a pair of guide wall parts provided on a guide block guiding a pressing piece externally fitted at the tip part of a worm shaft to make an engagement state between worm teeth and worm wheel teeth constant or almost constant regardless of a power transmission direction. SOLUTION: In an electric power steering device, both tips of both guide wall parts are coupled with each other by a coupling part 28. By this configuration, it is possible to prevent the guide wall parts, pressed by a pressing piece 9, from being elastically deformed even when a guide block 12a is made of a material, having low rigidity, such as a synthetic resin.
